Oregon Ranks Fourth in Pumpkin Spice Latte Obsession, But Why?

The leaves haven’t even started their colorful autumn transition, and yet there’s already a buzz about pumpkin spice lattes. And not surprisingly (or maybe surprisingly for some of us), Oregon has been identified as the 4th most pumpkin spice latte-obsessed state in a 2022 study. Ahead of states like Illinois, Texas, and Virginia. Why, you ask? Good question.

A somewhat recent analysis of Google search data by Bid-on-equipment.com, a platform that, oddly enough, sells used industrial machinery, has placed Washington state at the zenith of this perplexing pumpkin spice passion. Given that Starbucks, the creator of this autumnal drink, started in Seattle, maybe Washington’s obsession is a hometown pride thing.
