SILETZ, Ore. — New developments have emerged involving the parents of Dane Paulson, the child who drowned in the Siletz River last year.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 12:11 a.m. on January 23, 2026, to a reported domestic disturbance at a residence in the 21000 block of Siletz River Highway in Siletz. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Toledo Police.
Investigators determined that a physical altercation occurred between siblings at the residence. Authorities say 39-year-old Daniel Jackson allegedly initiated the confrontation with his sister, 36-year-old Chamet Jackson. Daniel Jackson was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence
