With fresh snow on the slopes, Oregon ski resorts begin the season

Timberline and Mt. Bachelor are both expected to have at least a limited opening Saturday, thanks to the recent storm system, but Sunday could bring rain.

PORTLAND, Ore. — As the Willamette Valley gets a healthy dose of rain this week, snow has been falling in the Oregon Cascades. That’s good news for skiers and snowboarders, who now have some options for hitting the slopes this weekend.
