‘Elated’: Portland hair studio one of the 10 Oregon winners in Key4Women program

The year’s grand prize winner was Melody Brown, owner of L & M Hair Company. She was awarded $20,000.

PORTLAND, Oregon — In the last 18 years, Key Bank’s Key4Women program has awarded nearly $12 billion in loans for women-owned businesses. 

On Thursday, the bank — alongside the Portland Thorns and nonprofit Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon, also known as MESO — awarded $50,000 to 10 Key4Women recipients for this year’s women-owned business pitch contest.
