Shake Shack will start serving burgers and frozen custard in greater Portland starting April 16. The fast food chain from big-name restaurateur Danny Meyer has announced the official opening date for the Cedar Mills location, which will be the state’s first Shake Shack.
Over the last year, Shake Shack — which operates locations everywhere from Riyadh to Cleveland — has been dropping clues in public documents regarding Oregon expansion plans. Way back in April 2020, the company’s intention to open a location in downtown Portland surfaced through documents filed with the Bureau of Development Services. The suburban location, however, seems to have moved more swiftly.
