Second Missing Woman’s Body Recovered After Group Swept Over Oregon Waterfall

The search for six people who were swept over Dillon Falls on the Deschutes River Saturday afternoon has taken another heartbreaking turn.

On Monday, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that divers recovered the body of a second woman from the river around 11 a.m. Crews have been combing the area by land, water, and air since the tragic incident, which unfolded just before 3 p.m. Saturday when the group went over the powerful cascade west of Bend.

Three individuals were pulled from the river alive and transported by ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend. One woman’s body was found shortly after the initial rescue
