Mikiko Moves Into Mama Bird With Weekend Mochi Doughnuts
Starting March 20, mochi doughnut pop-up Mikiko will return to the Portland scene, starting a weekend pop-up at Mama Bird on Saturdays and Sundays. From 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Mikiko’s Alex McGillivray will sell mochi doughnuts in flavors like yuzu funfetti and wood-fired pineapple out of the Northwest Portland restaurant, debuting three new flavors on the day of the first pop-up. Mikiko started as a pop-up last year, before transitioning into a doughnut delivery service in the early days of the pandemic.
