Thousands of Oregonians are gathering today, Saturday, October 18, for another round of “No Kings” protests—part of a national movement taking place in hundreds of U.S. cities.
Organizers say more than 60 events are happening across Oregon, stretching from the Portland metro area to Medford, along the coast, and throughout central and eastern Oregon.
The demonstrations follow large June rallies that drew tens of thousands statewide, including roughly 50,000 participants in Portland. Today’s turnout is expected to match or exceed that number.
