Senator Christine Drazan is back in the race for Oregon governor, officially announcing Monday morning that she will seek the state’s top office again in 2026.
The Republican from Canby made her announcement at Gunderson Marine & Iron in Portland, telling supporters she’s ready to bring balance back to Salem, restore accountability, and tackle Oregon’s growing crises of affordability, homelessness, and public safety.
Drazan previously ran for governor in 2022, coming closer to victory than any Republican candidate in decades. Her narrow loss to Democrat Tina Kotek underscored what many see as a growing fatigue among voters after years of one-party control and failed leadership on housing,
