Bull Jumps Fence at Sisters Rodeo, Injuring Spectators

An unexpected event at the Sisters Rodeo on Saturday night resulted in injuries to three individuals. During the final bull riding segment, a bull unexpectedly leapt over a fence, escaping the arena and entering a spectator zone.

According to officials, the bull rampaged through the rodeo grounds before eventually returning to the livestock pens.

“The Rodeo Sports Medicine Team, Sisters-Camp Sherman RFPD, Cloverdale RFPD, rodeo staff, and local law enforcement promptly administered first aid and care. First responders confirmed that three people sustained injuries directly from the bull; two of them were subsequently transported to a nearby hospital,” stated the Sisters Rodeo.

Social media videos capture the dramatic moment when the bull struck a person, sending them airborne. “Our thoughts are with those affected. The safety of our fans is our utmost priority, and we are grateful for their support,” the Sisters Rodeo commented.

By Sunday afternoon, an update from Sisters Rodeo confirmed that those hospitalized had been discharged and were recovering at home.
