Alternative energy firms expand during the pandemic 

British Columbia’s largest alternative energy companies have grown faster during the pandemic than during the years prior to its onset, according to data collected on Business in Vancouver’s list of the biggest alternative energy companies in B.C. (page 12). 

In 2020, the first year of the pandemic, average employment at the top alternative energy companies in the province grew 6.8 per cent, more than three times the 1.8 per cent growth rate reported the previous year.
