A large-scale search is underway in the Mount Hood National Forest after a 51-year-old man from Hubbard failed to return home from a hunting trip Friday night.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the man — identified as Devon Dobek — had been hunting roughly 20 miles from Estacada when he went missing. Dobek had reportedly messaged a friend earlier in the day to say he’d successfully harvested a deer and expected to return home soon, but never did.
Deputies later found Dobek’s vehicle parked near the Fish Creek Trailhead off Highway 224. There was no sign of him or the deer. Authorities say Dobek is
