Vancouver Giants experience best and worst of times in OT loss to Prince George

The Vancouver Giants’ game Friday ended strangely, which was apropos considering how wacky the whole night was.

The Prince George Cougars scored a 5-4 overtime victory at the Langley Events Centre, bagging the winner at 3:09 of the extra session when Chase Wheatcroft snapped a shot past Jesper Vikman blocker side after taking advantage of Vancouver’s Ty Thorpe and Carson Haynes getting crossed up on a loose puck deep in the Giants’ zone.
