Vancouver Giants aim to be teddy ready, looking to get back winning track with bear toss game

It would be fun to eavesdrop on conversations tonight between Zack Ostapchuk and Colton Dach.

Ostapchuk is team captain and a first-line forward with the Vancouver Giants. Dach is the same for the Kelowna Rockets. They’re both in Moncton currently, trying to land spots on Team Canada for the upcoming world junior tournament. They were even linemates early on in the selection camp process.

Fabian Lysell scored the Giants’ Teddy Bear Toss goal last season but the Giants wound up losing 4-3 to the Victoria Royals at the LEC. They won their 2019 Teddy Bear game at Rogers Arena, with Michal Kvasnica’s goal prompting the stuffed animal
