Up and comers Hagens, Misa square off in World Under-17 Hockey finale tonight in Langley

Top 2025 NHL Draft prospects James Hagens and Michael Misa are on opposite sides tonight at the Langley Events Centre in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge final at 5 p.m.

Hagens leads Team USA (6-0) up against Misa’s Team Canada Red (4-2). The Athletic’s Corey Pronman had Hagens at No.1 for the 2025 draft and Misa at No. 2 in a recent poll.

Hagens, who celebrated his 16th birthday earlier this month, leads the Under-17 tourney in scoring going into its final day with 16 points, including six goals. He’s a 5-foot-10, 152-pound forward from Hauppauge, N.Y., who’s playing this season with the U.S. National Team
