Nathan Rourke reportedly waived by the Jacksonville Jaguars

Making the play of the pre-season apparently wasn’t enough for Nathan Rourke in his bid to make the Jacksonville Jaguars’ opening day roster.

The former B.C. Lions star quarterback was reportedly waived from the team on Monday, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.

NFL teams had until today to get down to their 53-man opening day rosters. Should he not be picked up by another NFL team, Rourke can return to the Jaguars’ practice squad.

Only 12 of the league’s 32 teams kept three quarterbacks on their active rosters last season, with the other teams opting to slot an extra pivot on the practice roster.
