The NHL’s roster freeze kicked in at 11:59 p.m. local time Monday night and the Canucks tweeted out the assignment at the deadline.
Unless there is a roster emergency, Hoglander won’t be eligible to be recalled until Dec. 28, when the roster freeze lifts.
The Abbotsford Canucks have games Tuesday and Wednesday against the San Jose Barracuda at the Abbotsford Centre.
The Vancouver Canucks next play Thursday at Rogers Arena against the Seattle Kraken, and again Friday in Edmonton against the Oilers.
