Canucks lose forward Lane Pederson to Columbus Blue Jackets

Lane Pederson’s time as a Vancouver Canuck is up.

The depth forward was put on waivers on Friday, with the Canucks intending to re-assign him to AHL Abbotsford were he to clear.

But the Columbus Blue Jackets put a claim in on him.

The Canucks played the Blue Jackets on Friday night, with Pederson skating on a lineup with Elias Pettersson.

Pederson had scored 17 goals in 18 games for AHL Abbotsford this season and was called up Dec. 16.

He’d appeared in 11 games for the Canucks since the call up, scoring one goal and adding two assists.
