RealNetworks Loses CEO, Appoints Glaser As Interim CEO

Seattle-based RealNetworks said late Tuesday that Thomas Nielsen, its CEO, has resigned. According to the firm, founder and Chairman Rob Glaser has been appointed interim CEO. Reasons for the resignation were not given by the company, with the firm only saying that the board and Thomas agreed that the “CEO position wasn’t the right fit.” RealNetworks said that it has begun a search for a new CEO, and that Glaser does not plan to stay on as permanent CEO.
