With a nod to Seattle’s BIPOC communities, Mariners move to revitalize former Pyramid Brewery

An inauspicious reminder of the damage COVID wrought on Seattle’s businesses — the old Pyramid Brewery building across from T-Mobile Park— has new owners: the Seattle Mariners.

The organization has signed a 23-year lease for the 30,000 square foot property at 1201 1st Ave. S. Development plans include a restaurant, craft brewery, and event space.

Pyramid Brewing closed its SoDo location in April 2020, citing the decrease in foot-traffic brought on by the stadium closures over the COVID-19 pandemic. Pyramid is owner by FIFCO USA.
