Seattle area set for weekend heat wave as it nears record for most days without rain

Another heat wave is on the way to the Seattle area this week, as it begins to near the all-time record for consecutive days without measurable rain.

Breakdown of records set during Washington’s heat wave

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will begin to rise into the mid-80s on Thursday, before climbing either close to or over 90 degrees on Friday in Everett, Seattle, Kent, Tacoma, and Olympia.
