Some of the Fellers’ paper masks are displayed at Chrysalis Gallery on the South Hill.

A wise wizard gazes out with kind eyes. A golden, smiling sun radiates warmth. A lion with a fiery mane proves he’s the king of the jungle.

Each of these visages are intricate, three-dimensional masks made from all kinds of paper. And the man behind the masks — literally — is artist Ron Feller, who also credits his late wife, Marsha, with supporting his creative process.
