Spokane’s literary scene is bustling. It’s evident through the annual Get Lit! Festival, the sheer amount of independent bookstores in our area and, most importantly, the number of writers who choose to call Spokane home. Greg Bem, one half of the force behind the local, monthly open mic series Foray for the Arts, is currently collecting submissions for a new Spokane Poetry Anthology set to be published in December 2025 through Bem’s own Carbonation Press.
