University of Washington Students Can Graduate In Person Again

At long last, closure is coming for University of Washington students.

After two years of virtual ceremonies, UW has announced that commencement will return in person this spring. Graduating Huskies and their supporters will pack in at the lakeside football stadium on Saturday, June 11, to watch (and watch, and watch) the class of 2022 complete a pre-pandemic rite of passage: walking across a massive stage and shaking president Ana Mari Cauce’s hand. Doors will open at 12:30pm, with the procession beginning an hour later.
