As summer fades, the focus of Northwest hiking shifts from swimmable lakes and flowering meadows to something different yet just as magical: fall color. Beloved larch trees deserved their own guide; this list focuses on the other heroes of our state’s fall color, the vibrant huckleberry reds and sprawling meadows of golden-colored brush.
