What’s it like to walk in the shoes of Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy?

Wet.

Surveying the collateral damage from Hurricane Sandy in Old Greenwich, where three homes were destroyed by a fire, Malloy became a posterboy for GORE-TEX.

And we’re not talking Al Gore.

Malloy clutched the mailbox of one of the homes to avoid stepping in a large puddle.

His brown loafers seemed impractical, especially to Mr. Eastern Mountain Sports himself, fellow Democrat Jim Himes, the congressman from Greenwich.
