Black Friday shopping will look a little different this year

Black Friday may not be the big holiday shopping kickoff it once was, as stores will look a little different this year.

Many stores are refusing to start their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day so that employees can spend the day with their families.

Costco, Target, Walmart, PCC, and Trader Joe’s are a few of the stores that will be closed Thursday.

In case you need last-minute items for Thanksgiving dinner, other grocery stores are expected to have limited hours:

Metropolitan Market closes at 2 p.m.
Whole Foods closes at 3 p.m.
Fred Meyer closes at 4
