Amazon Prime Video partners with Seattle Storm in WNBA broadcast push

Amazon’s streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video, will hold the broadcast rights to the Seattle Storm, streaming roughly 30 Storm games throughout 2022’s season. The partnership follows Amazon’s look at building its coverage of live sporting events, including 17 separate, nationally televised WNBA in-season games.

In March, Amazon announced that it had acquired rights to Thursday night NFL games. The streaming platform also has select rights with FIFA.

The Storm’s first season at the newly remodeled Climate Pledge Arena will begin May 6. Fans can see the iconic point guard Sue Bird play out a potential final season; in February, the Storm announced that Bird had signed a one-year deal
