Winter Storm Could Blanket Portland With Up to 10 Inches of Snow

Ready for snow or not Oregon, here it comes. At least according to the National Weather Service, which is predicting by Thursday at noon potentially freezing rain in the late morning, and snow by the afternoon. The winter storm advisory for the Portland metro area is saying 2 to 6 inches at this time to start with. Much of western Oregon and Washington are expected to see below-freezing temperatures.

Starting late Friday, we could be seeing between 5 and 10 inches by midday Saturday. This is said to be a “conservative” estimate, according to Scott Weishaar, a meteorologist who’s with the Portland
