Washington County sheriff’s deputies respond to domestic dispute

Law enforcement authorities stopped traffic and took up defensive positions near a Washington County home early Saturday morning when a suspect in a domestic dispute refused to leave the home.

The case began about 4 a.m. when authorities were called to a home near Southwest 175th Avenue and High Hill Lane.

By 11 a.m. a decision had been made to stand down and de-escalate the situation, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies plan to return to the home later Saturday to continue
