Police arrested a suspected heroin dealer connected to two separate overdose deaths in Portland, according to court records released Thursday.

Officers from the Portland Police Bureau‘s vice division busted Corey Joel Rodarte, 27, at the Guesthouse Inn and Suites on 183rd Avenue in Gresham on Wednesday.

Police seized more than 250 grams of heroin, 4 grams of methamphetamine and more than $3,000 in cash from Rodarte’s room, court records allege.

He was charged on multiple counts of drug possession and money laundering, court records show. He had open warrant for his arrest on other drug charges when he was busted.

Rodarte’s cell phone number was found in the phone of a man who died of a heroin overdose on Monday, the court records said. Police also believe he was involved in a heroin overdose death earlier this year.
