Sherwood man injured in fall while raking leaves off roof

A Sherwood man was taken to the hospital Thursday with non-life-threatening injuries after falling while raking leaves off the roof of his home, authorities say.

It was not immediately clear whether the man fell from a ladder or from the roof of his two-story home in the 17100 block of Southwest Woodhaven Drive, said Pete Scott, a Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue spokesman.

Emergency crews responded to the home about 3:15 p.m. and found the man conscious and alert when they arrived, Scott said.
