Portland airport light rail service will shut down for four months starting Sunday

The MAX Red Line will only run as far as Gateway Transit Center until October while crews rebuild the light rail station at Portland International Airport.

PORTLAND, Ore. — MAX Red Line service to Portland International Airport will shut down for four months starting Sunday, June 18, while crews work on a project to rebuild the airport light rail station and add a second track nearby. The closure is scheduled to last through Oct. 21, according to TriMet.

The Parkrose/Sumner, Mt Hood, Cascades and PDX Airport light rail stations will all be closed for the duration, with a shuttle bus loop running between them and Gateway
