Oregon Community in Mourning After Murder-Suicide Leaves Five Dead

A devastating tragedy has shaken Josephine County after five members of the same family were found dead inside a rural Grants Pass home earlier this week. Authorities believe the case to be a murder-suicide.

According to a story from KGW, Deputies with the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office were first called to the residence on Hussey Lane Monday after a woman living there did not arrive at work. Upon noticing concerning signs outside the property, deputies entered the home, where they discovered the bodies of two adults and three children. All had died from apparent gunshot wounds.

Oregon State Police identified the victims as 42-year-old Hannah Marie
