Josephine County Sheriff’s Office search and rescue team finds two men lost in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness

Two prospectors who were lost in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness have been rescued by Josephine County Search and rescue workers, according to The Daily Courier in Grass Pass.

The men were rescued Friday afternoon, hours after they were reported missing, the newspaper said, based on an interview with Josephine County Sheriff Gil Gilbertson.

The men had been expected to hike out of the area Wednesday, after being airlifted into the wilderness last week, 20 miles southwest of Grants Pass.

One man suffered
