FBI Rejoins Kyron Horman Investigation as Thousands of Case Files Go Digital

Nearly 15 years after Kyron Horman vanished from Skyline Elementary School in Portland, Oregon, the case is receiving renewed attention. The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Gresham Police detectives, has been working over the past year to digitize and reorganize the entire case, scanning thousands of pages of reports, photos, and evidence.

Once this digitization process is complete, the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) will reexamine the files. The BAU specializes in behavioral and psychological analysis, reviewing past statements and evidence to provide investigative recommendations based on patterns from similar historic and current cases nationwide.
