Drivers in Oregon Allowed to Pump Their Own Gas Through Heat Wave

Following a recent emergency declaration in Oregon from Governor Kate Brown due to temperatures hitting triple digits in Oregon, the Oregon Fire Marshall is giving the green light to go ahead and pump your own gas. While self-serve gas is most common in the US, with Oregon being one of just two states that places limits on drivers pumping their own gas, it has been legal in some rural Oregon counties. A bipartisan bill is currently working its way through the legislature, that would give residents across the state to offer self-serve gasoline.
