Deschutes County District Attorney Patrick Flaherty says the case remains under investigation, Supplee is on leave and it hasn’t yet been determined whether the shooting was justified.

A day before the shooting, Bend police found illegal firearms, heroin and methamphetamine at the same house and the residents, a mother and her two adult sons, were arrested.

It’s unclear whether she was home during the shooting.

Keinonen had a string of arrests this year, including drugs and theft.
