An ownership group led by Tom Dundon has agreed to a $4.25 billion deal to buy the Portland Trail Blazers, pending NBA approval.

PORTLAND, Ore. — NHL team owner Tom Dundon has reached a tentative agreement worth about $4.25 billion to buy the Portland Trail Blazers, according to multiple reports Wednesday.

Sportico’s Scott Soshnick and Eben Novy-Williams first reported the deal, which was later confirmed by ESPN’s Shams Charania. John Canzano reported the sale price. The closing date has not been disclosed. Any sale must be approved by the NBA Board of Governors.
