Vancouver looks for ‘underutilized’ downtown sites that could be transformed into housing

To adequately prepare for projected population growth, the city has identified 20 locations that could be used for future housing development.

VANCOUVER, Wash. — As more and more people move to Vancouver, the city is working to keep up with the demand.

A new report released by the City Center Redevelopment Authority (CCRA) identified 20 underutilized spots in downtown that could be used for future housing or office space. CCRA executive director Patrick Quinton said that the plan was created to illustrate the opportunities for development downtown.
