Vancouver is considering annexation to better accommodate growth, possibly making it Washington’s second-largest city.
PORTLAND, Ore. — Vancouver is experiencing a significant transformation from a Portland bedroom community, dominated by commuters, to becoming a distinctive destination of its own.
And now, the city is considering a major annexation that could make Vancouver the second-largest city in Washington. If approved, unincorporated regions like Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek and Orchards would become part of Vancouver.
