‘Ultra-low-cost’ airline begins four nonstop flights at Portland International Airport

The new routes include nonstops between Fresno, California; Cincinnati; Flint, Michigan; and Indianapolis.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Allegiant begins nonstop flights from four major U.S. cities to Portland International Airport starting Friday.

The new routes include Fresno, California (via Fresno International Airport); Cincinnati (via Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport); Flint, Michigan (via Flint Bishop International Airport); and Indianapolis (via Indianapolis International Airport).

In the fall, Allegiant announced it was expanding flights to 51 cities around the country, in one of the airline’s largest service expansions in its history. The move was driven by growing demand and the company’s commitment to providing “ultra-low-cost airfare” to underserved
