Temu, SHEIN announce price increases amid Trump, China trade war

The price increases will start soon, but it’s not clear just how much more consumers will be paying.

SAN FRANCISCO — Temu and SHEIN are upping their prices for American customers after Trump’s latest tariffs. 

Both websites, owned and operated by separate companies, issued near-identical statements blaming the increase on “operating expenses” going up due to the tariff changes. Price increases will take effect beginning April 25. 

“We’re doing everything we can to keep prices low and minimize the impact on you. Our team is working hard to improve your shopping experience and stay true to our mission: making fashion accessible for everyone,” said SHEIN
