Report: Portland’s top private school is tuition-free

Test scores, college data and ratings assigned by parents and teachers helped determine the ranking of the top 25 private schools in Portland.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The 2024 roster of top 25 private schools in Portland, as compiled by the Pittsburgh researcher Niche.com, includes at least 14 institutions that charge at least five digits, or $10,000, in yearly tuition.

There’s one school, though, that charges at least five digits less than that, and that Niche.com considers a private school. Rosemary Anderson, in North Portland, is a tuition-free, community-based organization that’s aligned with Portland Public Schools and other public districts.
