Reach Community Development says the 64 affordable housing units will include 22 apartments with wraparound social services for those experiencing homelessness.
PORTLAND, Ore. — The dirt is moving at Southeast 73rd and Foster Road as construction crews break ground on 64 new affordable housing units in the Foster-Powell neighborhood.
Margaret Salazar, the CEO at Reach Community Development, said the project “has been a doozy” but is thrilled with the efforts of all their community partners.
“Our goal isn’t just to move people in and get folks housed,” she said, “but to keep them stable and housed.”
