PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Trail Blazers laid off more than 70 employees Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
Longtime Portland sports columnist Dwight Jaynes was first to report about Tuesday’s layoffs. Sean Highkin of the Rose Garden Report and later Joe Freeman and Bill Oram of The Oregonian reported the number of people affected was “just over 70.”
Trail Blazers president Dewayne Hankins confirmed the layoffs to KGW, though he didn’t confirm the number of people who lost their jobs.
