Portland International Airport sets main terminal opening date for August 2024 after delays

Crews have been installing flooring and benches for stadium seating, tiling and painting new concession spaces, and setting up spots for new TSA checkpoints.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland International Airport (PDX)’s new main terminal, originally planned for the end of May, will open in August, the Port of Portland said Thursday. 

Crews have been installing white oak flooring and benches for stadium seating, tiling and painting new concession spaces, and setting up spots for new TSA checkpoints. The Port of Portland said 950 people are working.
