Portland extends outdoor dining program through June 2022

Since the program started in 2020, more than 800 businesses have applied for permits to use sidewalks and street space for things like outdoor restaurant seating.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland is extending the pandemic program that allowed restaurants and businesses to expand onto sidewalks and street parking until at least the middle of next year.

The city of Portland will continue waiving fees for business owners who participate in the Portland Bureau of Transportation’s (PBOT) Healthy Businesses permit program, through June 30, 2022.
