PORTLAND, Ore. — The planned James Beard Public Market in downtown Portland got another financial boost this week when the city council voted to allocate $1 million to the project during its marathon of deliberations on the 2025-26 budget. The long-planned market is aiming to at least partially open by the end of this year.
