Portland-based company recalls Trader Joe’s frozen chicken fried rice that may contain glass

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc., a Portland, Ore. establishment, recalled two types of fried rice sold at Trader Joe’s and shipped to Canada.

WASHINGTON — Chicken fried rice products sold at Trader Joe’s are being recalled after multiple customers reported finding glass inside the food.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said nearly 3.4 million pounds of the frozen chicken fried rice products are impacted.
